Summer News 2008

Rotary Downs is starting to smell.

Not much unlike our pungent friends Vieux Boulogne, Limburger, or Fromunda - your friends in Rotary Downs are beginning to collectively culture crustaceous fromages from all of our recent, and future outdoor heat induced extravaganzas. Face it folks, outdoor summer music festival tend to get hot, sweaty, and downright slippery...and i think we are a better band because of it.

We want to thank alll of you who braved the heat, and early call time ( you know who you Arrrrrr) at our Jazz Fest set, you rocked as we rocked, one nation, collectively culturing cheese, next to the Oyster Bar on the Lagniappe Stage. And that IS what she said.

In other Cheese notes: Cory Schultz, our trusty secret weapon (keys, trumpet, guit, good times) recently severed his tendon in his right thumb and is currently cultivating a rare species of cheese under his new cast. Sign it and smell the future. So, helping him at his duties, starting at DBA this weekend- is Antenna Inn badass Mike Girardot. Expect new rolling duel trumpet melodies and increased bar tabs.

We are also looking forward to rocking with you plenty more times this summer, inside and out.
