As we near the end of the school year, all of us at Jennifer Katz, Inc., want to wish all of you a wonderful summer and thank you for a great year! It’s been an exciting year for us and we couldn’t have done it without you!
As the summer approaches we are gearing up for some exciting changes!
Read below: Second Therapy Location | New Staff Members | "R" Camp
In order to accommodate our growing practice, we have added a second therapy location!
The address is 3892 26th Street (cross street is Church Street). The new office is a short walk from our current location (approximately five blocks) and is located right next door to Chloe’s Café. The J Church Muni stops one block from the office and parking has not proved to be an issue!
We are excited about the new location and we think you will be, too! It’s a very similar set-up to what we have now; however, we have designed one of the larger rooms to accommodate those children who need more movement during their sessions.
Our targeted start date for the new location is Monday, June 16, 2008!
Kim Allyn, Julie Manyak and Kristin Kuykendall will be working at the new location (3892 26th Street) and Jessica Nesterowicz, Barbara Rockman and Jennifer Katz will continue to work on Jersey Street.
We would like to introduce two new staff members, Kristin Kuykendall and Jessica Nesterowicz.
Kristin Kuykendall completed her undergraduate degree at the Oklahoma State University and received her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Oklahoma. Kristin has experience in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of speech and language disorders, including apraxia of speech, autism spectrum disorders, fluency, articulation and specific language delay. She has received professional training in the SCERTS model for autism spectrum disorders and the Lindamood-Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing program for reading comprehension. Kristin’s experiences include both individual and group therapy. Kristin’s interests include motor speech disorders, reading, and social pragmatic disorders.
Jessica Nesterowicz received her B.S. in Child Development from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and her M.S. in Speech- Language Pathology from San Francisco State University. She has clinical experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and school age children with language and articulation/ phonological disorders and with adult augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) users. Jessica is trained in several Lindamood-Bell programs including: Visualizing& Verbalizing, Seeing Stars, Lips, and On Cloud Nine. Jessica’s interests include articulation and phonological disorders, early literacy skills and social pragmatic disorders.
“R” BLAST OFF: Finally, we are excited to offer a one week, intensive “R” camp beginning July 14.
Each camp will run for one week, two hours per day. During the two hours your child will receive both individual and group therapy. This camp is designed for those children already producing the “R” sound but need an extra boost in carryover or getting to the next level in production! Space is limited so please let your speech therapist know if you would like more information!
As always, we are very appreciative of your continued support
and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
